SAP Ariba Business Process & Systems Support SME (Temporary position)
Do you have solid hands-on experience with SAP Ariba and enjoy supporting procurement processes in a global environment? Are you motivated by solving system-related challenges and being the go-to person for business users?
We are looking for a Process & System Support SME who will primarily support and maintain our Ariba landscape, ensuring stable daily operations and high-quality support for Procurement stakeholders.
This is an 18-month fixed-term position.
Your new role – why is this a great opportunity?
You will act as a key support specialist for Ariba (Procurement Systems), working closely with Procurement, IT and vendors. Your primary focus will be ensuring smooth system operations, resolving incidents, and supporting continuous improvements within the Ariba environment.
In addition, you will support selected Finance-related processes and Concur where needed, however Ariba will be your main responsibility.
This is a hands-on operational role with strong business interaction and real impact on daily procurement operations.
Your future team
The Business Process and System Support team provides technical and process expertise within procurement, finance and HR systems globally. We collaborate daily with Line of Business, IT experts and vendors, ensuring high-quality support and smooth system operations.
What is the challenge?
Acting as second line support for incidents and requests primarily related to Ariba, including:
- Roles and access management in Ariba
- Catalogue and contract administration
- RfP process support
- PO/PR flow support
- Workflow configuration support
- Spend data maintenance
- Master data changes
- Data flow and integration error analysis
- System queries and reporting support
- Monitoring system logs and resolving issues
In addition, you will support selected topics related to Concur and SAP FI when relevant.
You will:
- Investigate and resolve incidents in line with defined processes, SOPs and KPIs
- Escalate complex issues to IT teams, vendors or 3rd line support when needed
- Provide system usage guidance and support to business stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Ariba
- Participate in system enhancements, upgrades and optimization activities
What you bring to the team
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Ariba support or administration
- Strong understanding of procurement processes (PR, PO, sourcing, catalogues)
- Experience in roles & access management and workflow setup in Ariba
- Experience in analyzing integration and data flow issues
- Concur knowledge is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of SAP FI or finance processes is a plus (not the main focus)
- Knowledge of IT Service Management principles is an advantage
- English: C1
- Strong Excel and data handling skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Structured and solution-oriented approach
- Comfortable working independently and in a multinational virtual team
- Able to manage shifting priorities and tight deadlines
- Proactive in improving ways of working
- Curious and eager to deepen system expertise
- Comfortable supporting and guiding business users
