Purpose of the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Controller to join our Compliance and Reporting Team.

As Compliance and Reporting Controller you will be acting as an independent finance specialist ensuring the high quality Group Reporting for locations in scope. The person will be fully responsible for the bridging of reporting prepared under local accounting standards to IFRS for timely and correct reporting of accounting figures for assigned entity(ies). The role includes all activities required to ensure group compliance.


Your key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Group Reporting ensuring compliance with IFRS and Corporate Accounting Rules (including bridging of reporting prepared under local standard to IFRS).
  • Responsible for assuring appropriate data quality and material correctness of the cost center and internal order accounting and reporting for particular locations.
  • Responsible for executing agreed internal controls for assigned locations, report incompliance and risks to the Manager.
  • Responsible for developing and documenting business processes.
  • Coordinates and leads projects / improvement initiatives/migrations, etc.
  • Execute on KPI- data gathering & support analysis.
  • Manages queries/ service requests and escalates non-standard queries to the Team Manager.

Qualifications required:
Our preferred candidate has the following personal and professional qualifications:

  • Minimum 4+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience (audit background preferred).
  • Experience with preparing or auditing Financial Statements / Group Reporting Packages under IFRS and local standards.
  • Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance (accounting qualifications ACCA/CIMA/CPA in progress).
  • Fluent English.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
  • Keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which allows for data interpretation versus simple reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Mature attitude towards challenges and problem solving - being able to work with limited guidance and able to determine information needed to resolve more complex issues, manage pressure effectively and cope well with setbacks.
  • Taking ownership of assigned responsibilities, including self-learning/researching needed to execute the same.
  • Willing to work in a dynamic environment with switching priorities.
  • Team player.
