Analytical Chemist – Process Chemistry Analytics

 

Description

We are searching for an analytical chemist with expertise in analytis of small molecules to join Process Chemistry Analytics located at the Lundbeck production site in Lumsås near Nykøbing Sj.

Process Chemistry Analytics (PCA) is part of Chemical & Pharmaceutical Research (CPR). CPR is responsible for the CMC development of new drug candidates within Depression, Schizophrenia, Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease. Lundbeck strives to develop new innovative treatments to help improve the lives of patients suffering from these diseases.

PCA gives analytical support to the production of Lundbeck’s pipeline of small molecule API’s for use in clinical trials. In addition to this, PCA develops analytical methods for release analyses of starting materials, intermediates and raw materials for the productions.

 

Your job and key responsibilities

As an analytical chemist in PCA you will be involved in analytical development for our new chemical entries. You will take part in the support to our chemical production e.g. by in-process control analysis and you will perform QC tasks when working with release analysis of starting materials, intermediates and raw materials.

You will also contribute to other tasks such as qualification of equipment, writing Standard Operating Procedures and analytical procedures, documenting deviations as well as development and maintenance of other systems.

 

Qualifications

Our preferred candidate has the following personal and professional qualifications:

·         Scientific skills in analytical development within small molecules, ideally with a PhD in analytical chemistry.

·         Has practical experience with HPLC, GC, FTIR or other relevant analytical techniques.

·         Has as general understanding of organic chemistry.

·         Has practical experience working under GMP or similar quality systems.

·         Is ambitious with a positive mindset and happy to work in teams.

·         Is fluent in spoken and written Danish and English.
