Manager, Business Insights

Forecasting (35%)

  • Lead and oversee the development and maintenance of accurate product revenue forecasts (current and future years) for all promoted and non-promoted products as well as pipeline, life-cycle management (LCM), and in-license products monthly.
  • Provide guidance to the Sr. Director, Business Effectiveness and LCLT with latest revenue trends for key promoted brands, highlighting over/under performance and insights into what may be causing the respective performance.
  • Lead the completion of the monthly revenue reporting requirements to LuNA on the Canadian revenue results. Manage the development of revenue projections for the Long-Term Planning (LTP) process (10-year forecasts) and quarterly estimates.
  • Strategize and collaborate with both Sr. Director, Business Effectiveness and the Senior Manager, Finance Planning & Analysis to ensure full and complete financial submissions for all quarterly estimates, budget and long-term plan (LTP) submissions which are robust, accurate and on time.
  • Lead the collaboration with Global Business Analysis team on the alignment of Lundbeck Canada’s revenue forecasts during budget and LTP process.
  • Work in close collaboration with the US Senior Supply Chain Manager, to ensure accurate production forecasts for all promoted and non-promoted products monthly.
  • Lead the development, maintenance and analysis of market and competitor volume and value forecasts for current and future years, for all markets of interest.
  • Lead the collaboration and alignment with Otsuka forecasting team to generate both short and long-term forecasts for Alliance brands, understanding and documenting any differences between Lundbeck and Otsuka forecasts for our shared brands.
  • Collaborate with Manager, Sales Effectiveness with the generation of accurate and fair Field Force sales quotas for all actively promoted brands, by generating forecasts at a territory level for each brand and providing suggestions on the most appropriate monthly phasing of the sales quotas.

 

Primary, Secondary and Payer Data Analytics (35%)

  • Lead the development and recommendation of robust  primary market research plans aligned with respective brand strategies.   Oversee the sound execution of these activities by the Business Insights Analysts ensuring they are well executed, delivered on time, on strategy and on budget.
  • Proactively lead all market and brand analyses that are required to continue to fuel strong growth of all strategic brands.
  • Proactively lead the development and continued enhancement of all brand/market analytics and insights to all relevant internal stakeholders, via reporting, dashboards or other.
  • Active member all Core teams as required. 

 

Commercial Assessments (10%)

  • Support the Senior Director, Business Effectiveness, other business unit leaders, as well as the LCLT in analytical support towards the valuation of commercial assessments for the organization as needed, which could include but not limited to: market evaluations, product and market forecasts identifying market opportunities, incremental and fully loaded P&L development.

 

People Management (20%)

  • Guide and support the professional development of two Business Insights Analysts.
  • Maintain regular touchpoints with employees throughout the year, providing clear guidance on performance expectations and status of achievement.
  • Proactively address any employee performance issues and establish clear expectations of action plans for improvement
  • Ensure optimal collaboration with all relevant internal stakeholders of the Marketing Analytics & Insights team to achieve and surpass company objectives.

 

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a management role and proven track record of success in a forecasting and analytics role.
  • Experience in the Canadian pharmaceutical industry an asset.
  • Excellent working knowledge of IQVIA Services (TSA, CDH, GPM, Xponent, NBRx, Rx Dynamics, PharmaStat, FINDr, and OneKey) an asset.
  • High proficiency using forecasting software.
  • High proficiency in Windows and the Microsoft Suite, especially with Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • High proficiency in Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010, especially with Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English (oral and written).
  • Collaborative individual who likes to take part in cross functional team projects.
