We are currently looking for a Senior Manager, Market Access to join the Lundbeck Market Access team. This position is permanent full-time in the Montreal Head-Office. The employee will report to the the Senior Director, Market Access.

Your Position:

Working collaboratively with the market access team as well as the relevant brand team, assist with the development and implementation of a strategic plan to shape, influence and attain reimbursement of Lundbeck’s products and forge strong relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. public and private payers, key opinion leaders (KOLs) and patient advocacy groups).


Market Access (Public payers): (70%)

  • Use solid market access experience to implement plans to gain rapid, broad and optimal public and private reimbursement for Lundbeck products.
  • Establish contacts and liaise with provincial drug plan and relevant private payer stakeholders to continually improve reimbursement, identify business opportunities, resolve issues, expand our network of contacts and raise Lundbeck’s profile among this target audience
  • Develop innovative ways to overcome reimbursement challenges, i.e. PLAs, and use superior negotiation skills to obtain optimal reimbursement conditions.


Government Relations and Stakeholder Management: (25%)

  • Develop and maintain a thorough mapping of national and provincial market access stakeholders and implement strategies to ensure a favorable environment to operate in, with focus on Access, Pricing and Reimbursement.
  • Represent Lundbeck on RX&D committees and leverage the association’s influence with decision makers.
  • Work with relevant scientific and patient associations to ensure a clear understanding of the unmet needs related to the disease areas of interest for Lundbeck’s business and work towards gaining their support to participate in relevant tactics and to advocate where appropriate for the needs of the patients we support.
  • Participate in relevant industry events to maintain an up to date and strong working knowledge of the reimbursement environment and changing trends. Share this knowledge with Lundbeck colleagues.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Extensive (≥ 10 years) experience in the Canadian pharmaceutical industry including a minimum of five years of experience in Market Access.
  • 2 years in Sales and/or Marketing an important asset.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian pharmaceutical reimbursement and pricing issues, policies and trends.
  • Proven track record of obtaining public and private reimbursement.
  • Knowledge of Central Nervous System and/or Specialty products market (an asset).
  • Bilingualism (French & English), oral and written.
  • Strong strategic thinker with ability to formulate and develop complex strategies that generate results.
  • Strong portfolio management skills and ability to objectively frame analyze and resolve tradeoffs between projects.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with people from all the varied departments at Lundbeck.

  • Travel commitments: There will be a moderate to high degree of travel associated with this position
