Your new role:

 

Lundbeck Australia is seeking a highly capable, commercially astute, and proactive Executive Assistant & Business Manager to support senior leadership in a dynamic pharmaceutical environment. This role goes far beyond traditional administrative support—it acts as a strategic enabler for the business, contributing to commercial performance, operational excellence, and cross-functional leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capability, business insight, and confidence when engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders. This position plays a key role in supporting commercial strategy execution across supply, market access, partnerships, and alliance management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Executive Support & Stakeholder Engagement

• Provide high-level administrative support to the Managing Director, including complex calendar management, travel coordination, expenses, and meeting preparation.

• Liaise effectively with senior stakeholders across global, regional, and local teams as well as with external partners, ensuring timely communication, alignment, and follow-up.

• Prepare polished presentations, briefing notes, and communication materials for leadership meetings, commercial reviews, and external engagements.

 

Business Partnering & Strategic Commercial Support

• Act as a trusted business partner to the Managing Director and Commercial Leadership Team, contributing to strategic discussions, commercial prioritisation, and decision-making.

• Support Budget and Mid-Term Planning (MTP) processes

• Partner with the Finance Director, Commercial Director and Medical Director may include but not be limited to:

  • brand planning cycles
  • commerical performance reviews
  • business cases for new initiatives, investments, and access opportunities
  • organisational reports, dashboards, and presentations

• Provide commercial insight and administrative coordination that contributes to successful execution of supply, market access, partnership, and cross-functional initiatives.

 

Project Management

• Coordinate cross-functional projects across the commercial, operational, and strategic domains, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Monitor project progress, milestones, risks, and outcomes, providing regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across administrative, commercial, and operational processes, identifying opportunities to streamline and enhance team effectiveness.

Partnerships & Business Development Support

• Assist in tracking partnership agreements, joint initiatives, milestones, and KPIs.

• Support due diligence coordination, meeting preparation, and post-meeting action management for in-licensing or collaboration opportunities.

• Assist with business cases and prepare presentations for potential new partnerships or commercial expansions.

 

Alliance Management

• Coordinate communication and governance activities for partnerships, including scheduling, documentation, follow-up, and compliance with agreed frameworks.

• Maintain visibility over shared objectives, deliverables, and performance metrics across alliance partners.

• Act as a communication connector between internal teams and external collaborators to ensure seamless engagement and issue escalation where necessary.

 

Working Relationships

• Close collaboration with the Australian Leadership Team across a range of areas (e.g. Commercial Team Finance, Compliance, Market Access, and Medical Affairs).

• Frequent interaction with regional and global stakeholders to support alignment on strategy, reporting, commercial operations, and cross-market initiatives.

• Engagement with external partners, alliance managers, supply partners, and relevant healthcare stakeholders.

What you bring to the team

To succeed in the role, you would need to have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Life Sciences, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in executive support, project management, or business partnering roles, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualisation tools.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.

• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
