Are you a highly motivated and skilled Laboratory Technician Student, who finds pleasure in both practical laboratory work and documentation, then we have the internship for you at Lundbeck’s API production site at Sjællands Odde.

As a Laboratory Technician Student in the Process Optimization Laboratory (POL), you become part of the department, Chemical Production Development, which comprises 25 highly motivated colleagues. In POL we are 4 technicians and 4 academic staff with various experiences. The department is responsible for synthetic work, development and implementation of processes, analytical method development, and support of the chemical production. Our department consists of two teams that works closely together on Production Development Projects, along with the other departments on the site.

You will have a role in everyday analysis and synthesis optimization - securing that our processes are running at the right level.

 

Your job

As a Laboratory Technician Student in our laboratory you will not only utilize your strong analytical skills, but also get a unique opportunity for using your tools for synthetic optimization and implementation. As such you could be working with organic synthesis, HPLC, LCMS, GC, GCMS, NMR, NIR and KF techniques, to name a few.

You will be working closely together with the other highly skilled colleagues in the laboratory, both chemists, engineers and laboratory technicians. In addition, you will have a lot of collaboration with other colleagues on the site.

Your job will be split between documentation and practical analysis and synthesis development in the laboratory, with varying workload throughout the year in each area.

The job requires that you are able to work well with various teams, with very different educational background, and simultaneously take ownership of the projects and makes sure that these gets implemented.

 

You efficiently document your work in status reports and development reports.

You will work independently on smaller projects and in project teams on larger projects.

Apart from the daily contact with colleagues in the department, you will also enjoy cross-organizational collaboration in a busy and productive environment, which requires strong professional and interpersonal skills.

The close link to our running production provides a dynamic and changeable environment, where every day is different and the ability to adjust is key.

Please note that the position is temporary with no possibility of extension, as it is part of the obligatory last year of the education as Laboratory Technician.
