Process Engineer - Chemical Engineering & Maintenance
At Lundbeck, we are experiencing increased project activities, and we therefore have an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our CAPEX Project Team in Lumsås.
Your new role
As a Process Engineer, your work will include design, establishment, quality assurance, and commissioning of process equipment within chemical synthesis in a GMP controlled environment.
You will work in close collaboration with others throughout the organization and with external stakeholders, where you will encounter a vibrant and interdisciplinary culture with a focus on achieving our common goals together as a team.
In addition to your practical training, a training plan will be prepared for you, where we will focus on developing your professional qualifications.
Your future team
Chemical Engineering (CE) is part of the Chemical Engineering & Maintenance department at Lundbeck. We are located at what some might call Denmark's most beautifully located production site in Lumsås in Odsherred – where our skilled colleagues produce the active substances (APIs) in Lundbeck's pharmaceuticals.
You will join our Engineering team of 16 colleagues specialized within chemical, mechanical, automation and electrical engineering. There is a positive atmosphere in the team with lots of smiles and a great will to succeed in implementing our CAPEX projects for the benefit of Lundbeck's production. We have a good mix of both recent graduates and more experienced engineers, leading to great opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing, both about what it is like to be new to Lundbeck and how the site works.
At our production site in Lumsås, you will meet 200 colleagues who are ready to greet you with a smile. We are proud of our community, where there are a flat hierarchy and room for everyone. You will encounter lots of ideas and creativity in a friendly, down-to-earth environment.
What you bring to the team
You have a solid educational background within engineering, e.g., as a marine engineer, chemical engineer, mechanical engineer or from another relevant area.
In addition, we imagine that you have:
- Experience working with process design packages (PFDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets)
- Project management experience (installation of process equipment), preferably from a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Experience working with external vendors and service providers
- Experience working with risk assessments, such as HAZOP and ATEX considerations
- A practical approach to your tasks and a deep understanding of necessary documentation, as GMP and qualification work are part of the job
