We are currently looking for two (2) qualified Business Insights Analysts to join the Lundbeck Canada Business Effectiveness team. These positions are permanent full-time located at our Ville Saint-Laurent head-office. The incumbents will report to the Senor Manager, Business Insights.



Business Insights Analyst


Your Position:

Business Insights (BI) is a key support function for the Lundbeck Canada Leadership Team (LCLT) and both the Psychiatry and Neurology Business Units. The BI team provides data driven insights to solve business challenges for strategic brands, contributes to customer-centric commercial plans and delivers accurate revenue forecasts to help Lundbeck Canada achieve more impactful execution and better ROI.


The Business Insights Analyst reports to the Senior Manager, Business Insights and is responsible for using forecasting, analytics tools and business performance reporting to answer key business questions. The BI Analyst collaborates with other team members and extended brand teams to generate and communicate insights to brand and leadership teams. Key areas of responsibility include: (1) Forecasting (2) Analytics and (3) Commercial Assessment.


Forecasting (45%)


  • Lead the development and maintenance of accurate product revenue forecasts (current and future years) for all products under their responsibility which can include both promoted and non-promoted products as well as pipeline through forecasting proficiency and know-how.
  • Work in close collaboration with our partner Otsuka’s Forecasting team to understand and document any differences between Lundbeck and Otsuka forecasts for our shared Alliance brand(s).
  • Responsible for regular reports and revenue trends for key promoted brands, highlighting over/under performance and insights into what may be causing the respective performance.
  • Develop the revenue projections for the Long-Term Planning (LTP) Process.



  • Collaborate with the US Supply Chain Management on production forecasts to ensure accurate supply levels for all products under their responsibility on a regular basis.


Markets of interest:

  • Develop and maintain regular market and competitor volume and value forecasts for current and future years, for all markets of interest.


Analytics: Primary, Secondary and Payer Data (45%)

  • Participate actively in Brand team meetings to ensure understanding and alignment with current and future brand strategies.
  • Lead execution of primary research activities in line with respective brand plans, manage vendors in order to deliver on-time, on-budget and on-strategy and provide the needed actionable insights to the brand teams.
  • Contribute to the Situational Analysis of annual brand planning by leveraging analytical expertise to help identify opportunities-threats to brand growth and answer strategic questions.
  • Provide recommendations to Marketing on Customer Segmentation and Customer Journey initiatives by analysing primary and secondary data
  • Proactively execute market and product analyses and communicate their results, in order to help the brand teams understand trends, where the brands are over/underperforming and insights into our customers’ attitudes and beliefs about our products.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence Manager to ensure that meaningful and visual business intelligence reports are being provided.
  • Support the market access department with data/market analyses to optimize pricing and reimbursement of Lundbeck Canada’s products.


Commercial Assessments (10%)

  • Work with the Senior Manager, Business Insights on Life Cycle Management or pipeline assessments as required, which could include: market evaluations, product and market forecasts, identifying market opportunities, incremental and fully loaded P&L development.



Position Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar position in forecasting and-or analytics
  • Experience in the Canadian pharmaceutical industry an asset
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking
  • Demonstrates drive, proactivity, accountability, collaboration and passion about solving business problems through data driven decision making
  • Excellent working knowledge of IQVIA Services (TSA, CDH, GPM, Xponent, NBRx, Rx Dynamics, PharmaStat, FINDr, and OneKey) an asset
  • High proficiency in Windows/Microsoft Office, especially with Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Bilingualism French and English (spoken and written
