We are currently looking for a Paralegal to join the new Lundbeck Legal Affairs team. This position is permanent full-time and is located at our Head-Office in Saint-Laurent, QC. The employee will report to the Senior Director, Legal Affairs.

 

 

Your Position:

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Legal Affairs, the Paralegal is responsible for paralegal support and coordination of legal and compliance tasks at Lundbeck.

 

Legal and compliance coordination (80%)

  • Draft and review legal documents (i.e. confidentiality agreements, consultant agreements, speaker agreements, services agreements, and template letters)
  • Manage the legal inbox, answering legal and administrative requests or redirecting when needed
  • Follow up with internal and/or external stakeholders on various documentation and its execution, while managing priorities and keeping track of deadlines
  • Help maintain the corporation’s minute books and business registrations
  • Perform legal research as needed
  • Support the Sr. Director and Compliance Specialist on compliance activities, initiatives, documentation and reports.

 

Administrative support (20%)

  • Maintain the legal department filing systems, databases and records
  • Translate templates and internal communications as needed (English/French)

 

Position Qualifications:

  • Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in Paralegal Technology or other relevant training related to legal field;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal in corporate law, or as a Legal Administrative Assistant or Coordinator in a law firm or legal department
  • Bilingualism in French and English (written and oral) required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (in particular Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Independent and proactive individual with a proven ability to drive results under little supervision
  • Rigor and strong organizational skills with an ability to keep track of priorities while multitasking
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments
  • Advanced sense of discretion
