Advocacy Specialist at Lundbeck
Are you passionate about advocating for people living with brain diseases, engaging with patient organizations and advocacy groups globally and working in a specialized pharmaceutical company, then you may be our new Advocacy Specialist.

We are looking for a new colleague to support us as Advocacy Specialist in Corporate Communication and Public Affairs.

The position covers several important areas of responsibilities ranging from implementing advocacy strategies mainly within our psychiatry portfolio, running disease awareness campaigns and activities to mark World Mental Health Day, building relations with patient organizations and advocacy groups globally, running our partnership programs and supporting our affiliates.

We are looking for an Advocacy Specialist with a passion for making a difference for people living with brain diseases, an interest in shaping agendas and an understanding of building relationships with patient organizations and advocacy groups within the mental health and neurological disease communities. You will be working with colleagues across the organization, with our alliance partners as well as with patient organizations and advocacy groups around the world.

This is a new position within our Reputation & Advocacy team currently counting six colleagues. You will report to Tina Hjortlund, Senior Director, Head of Reputation & Advocacy. The team is part of Corporate Communication & Public Affairs which employs 12 people in total. We are responsible for areas such as Employee Communication, Media Relations, Corporate Branding, Issues Management, Advocacy, Positioning, Leadership Communication and Government Affairs. We work closely together with Executive Management and teams across the organization.  As a team, we recognize hard work, but also think it is important to have an informal and fun workplace. We believe in individual responsibility and work with a high degree of self-planning.

 

Main responsibilities

As our new Advocacy Specialist, you will:

  • Implement advocacy strategies mainly within our psychiatry portfolio
  • Run advocacy activities with our established brand portfolio
  • Run disease awareness campaigns and activities to mark World Mental Health Days that engages both internal and external stakeholders
  • Engage and build relations with patient organizations and advocacy groups globally
  • Run our partnership programs linked to our disease area
  • Support affiliates in their markets as well as our alliance partners

 

Your qualifications

As our new Advocacy Specialist, you:

  • Understand the fine art of advocacy
  • Have experience in running and project managing advocacy and partnership programs
  • Have experience in working with patient organizations and advocacy groups
  • Are fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Are passionate about making a difference for patients
  • Can adhere to compliance and ethical matters
  • May have experience from another pharmaceutical company
  • Are able to navigate in a complex, global organization and have a service mindset to support our markets worldwide
  • Work well with a wide range of colleagues and like to have fun at work
