ESG (Environmental) Reporting Senior Advisor, Corporate Health, Safety & Environment

 

Are you ready to manage Lundbeck’s corporate sustainability reporting process on environment so we can achieve operational excellence in this field?

 

We are looking for an Environmental Senior Advisor who is ready to deliver best-in-class data and information management for our sustainability reporting.

 

For over a decade, we have reported on our sustainability efforts, the most important challenges and the impact on our business, stakeholders and the societies in which we operate. In the coming years we see an increase in expectations on transparency, consolidation into formal frameworks and requirements for corporate sustainability reporting. Based on this, we have a new job opening in our Corporate Health, Safety & Environment team.

 

Your future team

You will be working in Lundbeck’s headquarter in Valby, Copenhagen, reporting to Director of Corporate Health, Safety & Environment (HSE). The department ensures HSE compliance and is responsible for the development of Lundbeck’s HSE strategy and the execution of related strategic projects, campaigns and training.

Corporate HSE is a part of the business unit ‘Facilities and Health, Safety & Environment’, which is an organisation with 130 employees that support the value chain. Furthermore, Corporate HSE reports to the global HSE Council that consist of executive management representatives and elected employees.

 

Why is this a great opportunity?

Our reporting both internally and externally is key in providing robust performance measures and targets for Lundbeck’s sustainability efforts and impact, while meeting stakeholder’s expectations. We expect you to be able to develop robust reporting systems in collaboration with the different relevant functions. You will have an important role in conducting Lundbeck’s impact, risk and opportunity materiality assessments as outlined in the upcoming EU sustainability reporting standard ESRS E1-E5. Going forward, you will also ensure that we can report to upcoming requirements in relation to the sector-specific ESRS, the EU taxonomy and other environmental reporting requirements

 

Your new role

  • Ensure robust sustainability data management and reporting continuously aligned with regulatory intention and reporting frameworks.

 

  • Collect, manage and report our HSE data and develop our HSE data collection process incl. IT systems.

 

  • Set-up robust internal controls in close collaboration with our Corporate Finance function and coordinate the external assurance process in the HSE department.

 

  • Deliver timely data and other content to dashboards and quarterly and annual internal reporting to our management, investors, customers and other stakeholders.

 

  • Support the gradual integration of financial and sustainability reporting across our releases, reports and other channels.

 

  • Follow and stay updated on sustainability reporting requirements related to environment relevant for Lundbeck and the pharmaceutical industry.

 

  • Assist in developing new outcome and impact metrics for Lundbeck’s value to society.

 

You will be working closely together with the environmental employees in Corporate HSE, Compliance & Sustainability, Corporate Finance and other stakeholders across the organisation.

 

 

 

What you are bringing to the team

 

  • Navigate with ease within sustainability frameworks such as the GHG Protocols, CDP, GRI, SASB and similar

 

  • Knowledge of the UN SDG’s, UN Global Compact Principles, is considered an advantage

 

  • You understand that reporting is not only about data, but also the ability to transform our actions into impact and financial value

 

  • Experience with external assurance and financial accounting

 

  • Understanding of transforming regulations/standards to business processes

 

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree within business, economic, social or environmental science

 

  • You have an analytical mind and can handle complex data sets and processes with confidence.

 

  • A consistent approach to problem solving and stakeholder management skills, will be key, as we often work with sharp deadlines and in close collaboration with our colleagues across the Group.

 

  • You have +3 years’ experience in data analysis and advanced level in Excel and data management systems.

 

How your colleagues will describe you

 

We look for a candidate that is very structured and detail oriented. You enjoy planning, optimizing and running reporting processes. Our preferred candidate has a relevant academic background and minimum 3 years’ experience with corporate sustainability and/or financial reporting either in a multinational corporate function or as an advisor, controller or assurance provider.
