We are currently looking for a Healthcare Communications Specialist, Schizophrenia and Bipolar disorders to join the Lundbeck Canada CNS Franchise team. The employee will report to the Director, Healthcare Communications. This position is permanent full-time and based in Western Canada and the ideal candidate should be located in the territory for which he/she applies

The Healthcare Communications Specialist (HCS) assumes a leadership role in ensuring the strategic integrity of all region level CHE activities. Specifically, the HCS ensures executional excellence of CHE initiatives and implements consultancy meetings at the region level. The HCS also plays a central role in developing and leveraging opinion leaders within the region and provides feedback to the marketing team on brand-related issues.


Region Performance (20%)

  • In collaboration with the Manager, develop a regional plan on how to best implement and leverage the national programs to support strategic objectives of Lundbeck products and the Alliance Brands and help the region achieve its performance targets.


Healthcare Communications Activities Planning and Execution (30%)

  • Ensure the executional excellence of national CHE programs developed by Head office with their regional team.
  • Implement consultancy meetings according to the approved business plan.
  • Identify and evaluate the needs for the region in term of program delivery and work closely with the local Medical Experts to meet those needs.
  • Ensure all interventions comply with Lundbeck, IMC, PAAB (and all others) rules and regulations.



NME/RME Relationship (25%)

  • Identify a list of National Medical Experts and Regional/local Medical Experts to work with throughout the year to maximize the impact on the business.
  • Conduct speaker coaching to ensure speakers are familiar with our clinical data and programs when speaking in educational/learning events as well as at advisory boards.
  • Provide regular feedback to Medical Expert to ensure the needs of audience are met.


Communication (15%)

  • Effectively communicate with the Representatives, Region Sales Manager, MSL and National HC Manager on their plans, the results of events and any follow up required in a timely manner.


Budget Management and Administration (5%)

  • Responsible for effectively managing and reporting his/her yearly budget.
  • Deliver on the predefined number of events and targets and within budget.
  • Comply with Lu-Can administrative needs in a cost and time efficient manner.


Professional Development (5%)

  • Invest time and energy into professional development.


Position Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of the CNS market
  • University Degree, preferably a BSc
  • Minimum of three (3) years of sales experience and minimum of two (2) years of previous experience in a similar position
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong presentation, moderation and facilitation skills
